IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL – LaMOT Valve & Arrestor L10L

LaMOT Valve & Arrestor is recalling model L10L Inline Vent Valve due to a potential issue that effects the sealing of the cover to the body of the valve.

Recalled Product:

LaMOT Valve & Arrestor Model L10L – Inline Vent Valve – all sizes are recalled including the 2” (50mm) 3” (75mm) and 4” (100mm) (hereafter referred to as “Valve”).

Valve Use:

The Valve is used in the oil and gas industry and is designed to reduce product leakage and fugitive emissions by safely relieving excess pressure in the storage tank.

Reason for Recall:

The Valve may have been manufactured out of specification which could result in leaking vapors or process media which may result in:

  • Significant damage to property
  • Interruption of business
  • Serious life-threatening injuries and/or death

Who May Be Affected:

  • Oil and gas operations who use the Valve, and
  • Person in close proximity to an installed Valve 

What to Do:

  1. Immediately remove from your inventory and cease all selling of the Valve. Contact LaMOT Valve & Arrestor immediately and we will provide you with a replacement Valve(s) at no cost to you.
  2. Identify the end users of the Valve(s) that you have sold to date and provide that information to LaMOT Valve & Arrestor. LaMOT Valve & Arrestor personnel will contact the end users immediately to have them remove the Valve(s) from operation and provide them with a replacement Valve(s) at no cost.
  3. As soon as possible share this Safety Recall directly with your customers who have purchased the Valve and instruct them to contact LaMOT Valve & Arrestor immediately.
